Hardware wallets keep your private keys off your computer. That reduces the risk that malware can directly extract keys. But they don’t magically fix phishing or bad approvals—your behavior still matters.
What improves with hardware wallets
- Safer signing: you approve on the device.
- Less exposure: keys are not kept in the browser/app.
- Better recovery: seed phrase is kept offline.
What you still must do
Always verify addresses, double-check network and token, and don’t enter your seed phrase into websites. If a prompt looks suspicious, it probably is.
Beginner recommendation
If you hold meaningful funds, moving to hardware + offline backups is usually a strong security step.
Not financial advice.
